Moravia Brass Band is the largest brass ensemble in the Czech Republic and the resident orchestra of the Brno Brass Fest. Thirty musicians, led by chief conductor Chuhei Iwasaki, popularize playing brass instruments, present unique programs and arrangements, invite exceptional guests, and above all, create a specific formation: a brass orchestra – brass band. The orchestra was founded in July 2017 and has performed dozens of concerts in various venues across the country since its inception. In 2020, it was the first brass band to perform in the Dvořák Hall of the Prague Rudolfinum. Abroad and occasionally in the Czech Republic, it collaborates with conductor Heiko Mathias Förster on interesting projects in connection with symphony orchestras. In a very short time, it has become part of national and international festivals (International Music Festival Špilberk, Concentus Moraviae, Smetanova Litomyšl, Svatováclavský Music Festival, Festival Cuivres en Dombes, and others). Among the soloists of the Moravia Brass Band are world-class talents, such as trumpeter Gábor Tarkövi, trombonist Zoltán Kiss, and members of the orchestra, specifically trumpeter Ondřej Moťka and cornet player Pavel Šárník.
