The originally sounding Tango Quartetto Re Campo plays the old masters of tango from Buenos Aires from the 1920s and 1930s in fresh arrangements by Petr Zámečník for accordion, flute, cello, and percussion. "There are histories of tango's fates that are regularly played in cinemas; according to this sentimental version, tango was born in the tenements on the outskirts of Buenos Aires, usually in the Boca de Riachuelo district. (...) However, my advisors agree on a fundamental fact: the origin of tango in brothels. (...) The original set of instruments — piano, flute, violin, later bandoneon — confirms this testimony with its expense, proving that tango did not originate in the peripheries, which, as everyone knows, always managed with six strings of a guitar, but belonged only to brothels.
