The Rolling Stones release the album On Air! The iconic rock band led by the indispensable Mick Jagger, the Rolling Stones, is releasing a collection of radio recordings titled On Air, which transports listeners to a unique era when the band played the music they loved most – blues, R&B, soul, and even country. The tracks come from their rawest years, when their domestic dominance and prestigious position on the global music scene as the best rock’n’roll band was already knocking on the rehearsal room door. On Air is one of the most passionate and intense materials the 'Stones' have ever released. The album consists of 32 rarely heard radio recordings. Eight of them the band has never played live, nor have they ever been commercially released, and another seven were aired on the radio before they appeared on any of the albums or EPs. The flagship song is the debut single and also the first track that was played by the band on the iconic Saturday Club, Come On. On Air also includes well-known R&B-influenced tracks like Roll Over Beethoven and Memphis, Tennessee, blues beginnings embodied in songs like Fannie Mae or Cops And Robbers, and last but not least, the raw and spontaneous creations from the Jagger/Richards workshop, such as (I Can’t Get No)…
