Hvězdy těžký to maj - CD

This CD presents the new album by Poletíme?, ending fans’ six-year wait for fresh recordings. Led by Rudolf Brančovský, the band marked its 15th anniversary in 2023 with the live album Best of do gramofonu, but its new material has been the eagerly awaited attraction. Singles and music videos released over the past year gradually introduced Hvězdy těžký to maj, whose title is also shared by the album’s third preview track. The group’s distinctive, often highly original poetic style and humour remain immediately recognisable, while the overall sound becomes more energetic, dynamic and, in some respects, more rock-oriented. The new repertoire retains the characteristic wildness that is especially infectious at concerts, where the band already performs some of these songs. The album was produced by the band at MaMu studio, with recording and mixing by Jiří Topol Novotný and mastering by Broněk Šmíd. The striking graphic design comes from the London-based graphic designer and photographer Tomáš Vostrejž.
