Synopsis
The Incredibly Sad Princess is a beautifully sad fairy tale full of wonderful songs. This musical fairy tale is another gem by director Bořivoj Zeman, who had already gained fame with "The Proud Princess" and "Once Upon a Time, There Was a King." However, "The Incredibly Sad Princess," starring singing stars Helena Vondráčková and Václav Neckář, has lost none of its charm to this day. Two friendly monarchs agree that it would be good for their children to marry each other. But when royal offspring do not want something, they can be very stubborn. The eternally smiling princess suddenly becomes a terribly sad person, and the young prince even finds himself behind bars! But what kind of fairy tale would it be if it ended badly? Thus, the proper happy ending is ensured here as well.
