Synopsis
Summer of 1943. Zosia Glowacka (Michalina Labacz), in love with a Ukrainian boy, learns that her father has decided to marry her off to a wealthy Pole, a widower with two children - Maciej Skiba. Soon a conflagration of murders and atrocities erupts in Volhynia. Neighbor stands against neighbor. Amidst the sea of hatred, Zosia tries to save herself and her children.
