Synopsis
The five-part mini-series "Volha" is an adaptation of Karel Hynek's eponymous novel, written in a unique, bizarre, and meticulously transcribed language. It offers a quirky history of Czechoslovak Television, filled with incredible but true "behind-the-scenes" tales. Simultaneously, it paints a portrait of its main character: a narrow-minded egocentric skilled in petty scams and deceits – from siphoning fuel, faking mileage, to betraying his wife and sidelining rivals. Fittingly, he becomes an informant for the State Security (StB), codenamed "Volha", betraying colleagues and passengers without remorse.he past.
