Synopsis
Her passion became manipulating people... Dana (Ivana Chýlková), a medical student, is a shy, insecure woman despite her attractive appearance. When she is rejected by Marek (Miroslav Etzler), the economics student she adores, Dana decides to prove she is desirable. She persuades his classmate Milan (Karel Roden) to marry her, thus taking him away from her best friend Lenka (Jitka Asterová). Over time, Dana finds pleasure in intrigues, gossip, and manipulating people. She exploits every weakness, cowardice, and even simple human decency. Dana transforms into an elegant housewife, proud of her status and her husband's career in foreign trade. She even convinces Milan to betray a colleague for a promotion. "Master of Manipulation" was the directorial debut of 28-year-old screenwriter and director Irena Pavlásková.
