Synopsis
The year is 1989. Marie, a professional violinist, fled totalitarian Czechoslovakia with her husband, the persecuted dissident Viktor, to Britain 12 years ago. Now, with winds of change in the air and a sense of impending transformation, Marie sees an opportunity to finally visit her family after all these years. However, soon after returning to Prague, it becomes clear that this was a fateful mistake. Viktor disappears under dramatic circumstances, and it is uncertain whether he is even alive. Determined to find out what happened to him at any cost, Marie delves into the mystery. But is she ready for the truth? She soon discovers that she is not the only one searching for Viktor—several state secret services are also on his trail. As the fall of the Iron Curtain approaches, time is running out faster than ever...
