Synopsis
Drummer Marty, guitarists Radek and Tom, and singer Luki have a rehearsal space in an abandoned water tower in Kladno, but they lack proper instruments and money. They get a chance to impress influential Django, but their audition ends in disaster when their equipment fails after the first notes. Radek loses his job at the printing shop, Tom sells flowers with his girlfriend Šárka, and Marty, the mayor's son, is more interested in girls and gets fired from every job. Luki is also fired after causing trouble at millionaire Salinger's house. Desperate, they decide to kidnap Salinger's beloved dog, Johny, and demand a ransom. Marty sneaks into Salinger's house and sedates the dog, which the scared millionaire takes to the vet, from where the boys steal it. They call Salinger to arrange the ransom exchange and end up with a suitcase full of money. But things go wrong when the suitcase and Šárka's car explode, miraculously leaving everyone unharmed. The dog escapes and returns to them, causing further problems as Salinger sends his tough assistant Igor to retrieve it. With the help of criminal Chřestýš, they devise a new plan, but before they can execute it, the dog dies. Now, enraged Salinger won't stop until he catches them. Chřestýš suggests a last resort – they must get Salinger imprisoned first. Thus, a new plan is born.
