Synopsis
The Pacific is a war drama miniseries following three US Marines—Robert Leckie, Eugene Sledge and John Basilone—through the Pacific theatre of the Second World War. Their journey takes them from Guadalcanal through Cape Gloucester, Peleliu, Iwo Jima and Okinawa to the difficult return home after Japan’s surrender. The series is based in part on memoirs by Leckie and Sledge.
