Synopsis
In The Inheritance II, Bohumil Stejskal (Boleslav Polívka) has aged, accumulating property, worries, weight, and children, while losing the love of his life, Vlastička. Her death brings together the villagers and old companions at her funeral, where the local women's choir sings in her honor. Bohuš, now a wealthy man, lives in a grand farmhouse-style mansion with a zoo, dotes on his daughter and grandson, and prides himself on his horse breeding expertise. Despite being sober for seven years, Vlastička's passing leads him back to drinking, triggering a series of wild escapades, including a tumultuous romance, near film production ventures, financial losses, and public disruptions. Ultimately, guided by his daughter and loyal friend Arnošt (Arnošt Goldflam), Bohuš seeks solace in an alcohol rehabilitation center, reflecting on life with the eccentric Dr. Strážný (Jiří Pecha). This heartfelt and humorous sequel captures Bohuš's journey through grief and self-discovery.
