Synopsis
Captain Marko Ramius commands the Soviet nuclear submarine Red October toward the United States, causing the American government to fear an attack. CIA analyst Jack Ryan believes Ramius is planning to defect, but he has only a few hours to find the submarine and prove his theory. Soviet naval and air forces are also searching for Red October.
