Synopsis
A brilliant inventor, Professor Roch, is on the verge of discovering a substance that, in the wrong hands, could destroy the world. Enter Count Artigas, a mysterious and dark adventurer who roams the world's seas in his submarine, sinking ships and using the wealth he acquires to achieve global domination. Artigas kidnaps Professor Roch from a sanatorium and forces him to complete his invention at his base in the crater of the Back Cup volcano. By coincidence, Artigas also kidnaps the professor's assistant, Engineer Hart, who narrates the story and makes every effort to free the professor and prevent catastrophe. Eventually, Hart sends a balloon up through the volcano's crater with a message to humanity, which unites to thwart Artigas's plans just in the nick of time, as their naval fleets prevent disaster.
