"Corpus Christi" is the story, inspired by true events, of a boy who, after leaving a correctional institution, decides to pretend to be a priest and perform priestly ministry in a small town. From the beginning, the evangelisation methods of the 'false clergyman' are controversial. And the situation becomes even more complicated when his former friend from juvenile detention turns up in the town.
Jan Komasa's film is a unique project in Polish and European cinema - a courageous production touching on taboo subjects, the issue of social divisions and the complicated spirituality of young people.
