Synopsis
Chaloupka na vršku is a new fourteen-part puppet series by Czech Television and the Center for Children's and Youth Creation at ANIMÉ, a.s., directed by Šárka Váchová, known for her work on Vánoční koledy. The series takes viewers back to a time when TV for children was unimaginable, focusing on the woodcarver father and his three children, Andulka, Mařenka, and Honzík. The first story sees them preparing for the feast of the Three Kings, with subsequent episodes covering Shrovetide, Easter, and Christmas, as well as other rural customs. The realistic puppets, animated by David Filcík and Jan Smrčka, bring charm to the series, accompanied by music from Petr Skoumal. Ladislav Mrkvička narrates, while Magda Reifová, Dana Syslová, and others voice the characters. This nostalgic series will delight both children and adults, transporting them to a simpler time filled with joy and adventure.
