Synopsis
Captain Kalina (Pavel Řezníček), a loving husband, dedicated police officer, and a great father, becomes a victim of a car accident. As a spirit, he watches the investigation of his own death unfold. Along the way, he encounters many humorous and unexpected situations, guided more by his family than his fellow police officers... Gradually, small clues emerge suggesting that everything may not have been as it seemed. Marital trust is shaken; a few photos and words are all it takes for Vanda (Soňa Norisová) to suspect her husband of infidelity. Two boys, their mother Vanda, and their grandmother (Eva Holubová) launch their own investigation. Vanda meets Kalina's alleged mistress, Irina (Lívia Bielovič), who urges her to finish what Kalina promised but left undone. An unexpected series of events unfolds, driven by a clear goal of uncovering the truth, with the reluctant assistance of the family's friend, the impractical practical doctor (Hynek Čermák). Key evidence leaves Kalina's safe through the meddling mother-in-law, finding its way into the hands of an unsuspecting doctor and complicating matters for the police. With the help of her sons, Vanda eventually manages to crack the encrypted files on her husband's computer, providing answers to all the questions raised by distrust and, most importantly, helping to solve Captain Kalina's final case.
