Synopsis
Through the energetic and eccentric character of Janina Dušejko, a retired English teacher, we witness the growing horror in a small settlement on the Polish-Czech border where several mysterious murders occur in quick succession without any clear logic or motive. The terror and shock of the murders contrast sharply with the general indifference towards the mass killing of wild animals during the ongoing hunting season. Dušejko, an animal lover and protector of all the odd and 'different' inhabitants of the Kłodzko Valley where the story takes place, begins to uncover who is behind the bizarre murders and how they relate to the slaughter of wildlife.
