Description
The Nuremberg Campaign / Spanila jizda DVD
Synopsis
In 1427, knights gather at the camp of the papal legate and Winchester Cardinal Henry, preparing for a crusade against the Czech Hussites. The fanatical cardinal absolves them of all sins for murders and violence committed against heretics. Among the believers is Eschweiler from Hohenbach (J. Vala), who becomes embroiled in a vendetta against a young nobleman, Ondřej Keřský (P. Kostka), after ravaging his relatives' homes, burning his stronghold, and kidnapping his bride Anka (J. Tvrzníková) from their wedding celebration. Over three years, Ondřej transforms into an experienced commander. As the Hussites march through Germany, cities surrender without resistance. Leader Prokop Holý (M. Růžek) aims to spare lives, hoping his priests can convince the common folk of their truth through preaching. However, Ondřej is driven by a desire for revenge. He searches for Eschweiler, whom no one claims to know, until he finds him during the campaign on Nuremberg.
