Synopsis
Southern Mail / Južná pošta is a Slovak drama set in a small town in southern Slovakia shortly after World War II. Through the eyes of five-year-old Janko, the sensitive son of a customs officer, the film captures the town's adventures, joys, and tragedies amid social, political, and national unrest. Blending illusion and reality, the story portrays life in the fictional town of Palánok, reflecting the complexities of post-war liberation and personal struggles.
