Description
Son of the White Mare / Fehérlófia DVD
Synopsis
Born as the third son of a magical white mare, Fehérlófia gains superhuman strength by suckling his mother's milk for years. After her death he sets out to defeat the three dragons who rule the Underworld and have carried off three princesses. On his quest he meets his equally mighty brothers Kőmorzsoló (Stonecrumbler) and Vasgyúró (Ironkneader), outwits the mischievous dwarf Hétszűnyű Kapanyányimonyók and descends into the world below. Marcell Jankovics' psychedelic masterpiece, inspired by ancient steppe legends and the folk tale recorded by László Arany, was voted one of the fifty best animated films of all time at the 1984 Los Angeles Animation Olympiad.
