Synopsis
A classic comedy by Ján Lacko, this film follows three friends and football fans determined to attend the Czechoslovakia vs. Brazil match at any cost. True to the comedic tradition, their plans are repeatedly disrupted by unexpected mishaps, leading to desperate and hilarious attempts to make their dreams come true—sometimes at the expense of family and personal well-being. Similar themes were explored in Lacko's earlier film Happiness Comes on Sunday, capturing the passion, determination, and naivety of people driven by their love of sports or the lure of easy money. Through simple yet humorous characters, the film reflects the Slovak spirit, its enthusiasm for sports, and susceptibility to collective euphoria.
