Synopsis
Jiri Svoboda's 1985 film takes viewers into a hospital where cutting-edge neurosurgical procedures are performed. The aging neurosurgery professor (M. Macháček) faces a challenging and nearly hopeless surgery on a young patient. As the crucial surgery approaches, he reflects on his personal life, recalls colleagues and patients, and must perform an extraordinary and exhausting operation the night before.
