Synopsis
The Royal Page Jiřík tastes a bite from a magical snake and gains the ability to understand the language of animals. However, this act goes against his king’s command, and as a result, Jiřík faces either the death penalty or a dangerous and uncertain journey to find Zlatovláska, a princess from a mysterious kingdom in the middle of the sea. He sets out on the quest accompanied by Štěpán, his childhood friend, and a small dog named Štístek, whom Jiřík once saved. Along the way, Jiřík encounters numerous adventures and surprises. What he doesn’t realize, however, is that Štěpán is consumed by jealousy and is not as sincere a friend as he once seemed. Fortunately, Jiřík has brave allies in the animals he has helped along his journey.
