Synopsis
This drama, set during the Nazi occupation, begins at a train station where a transport of German soldiers is passing through. The train is stopped due to a railway worker’s improvised sabotage. Resistance liaison Růžena Kubínová, played by Vlasta Chramostová, is arrested during a random raid. The cynical official Dönnert, portrayed by Miroslav Holub, uncovers her fake documents and subjects her to brutal interrogation, suspecting she could lead to the exposure of their entire group. In her cell, an informant named Herta (Majka Tomášová), pretending to be the innocent Anča Nováková, is placed. This German agent, using her acting skills, temporarily gains Růžena's trust but fails to obtain key information. The film, initially set to be directed by Václav Gajer, explores themes of resistance, deception, and the struggle for survival under oppressive regimes.
