Synopsis
A film adaptation of Maria Dabrowska's novel about the fate of two generations of the Niechcic family and their friends. The main character is Barbara, who, having experienced a disappointment in love and fearing old age, marries Bogumił Niechcic. The couple soon have a son, whose untimely death casts a deep shadow over their relationship. The series is an extension of the Oscar-nominated film of the same title.
