Synopsis
The biographical film "The Century of Miroslav Zikmund" offers a unique perspective on the turbulent history of the twentieth century through the eyes of a man who experienced the entire world. Conceived during the Habsburg era, he was born five months after the founding of the First Republic. He survived World War II, witnessed the rise and fall of communism, and was labeled by the StB as "a highly dangerous person." He was in Africa during the collapse of the colonial system, met presidents, and got acquainted with Gagarin and Hillary. He experienced the advent of democracy and the rise of "almighty" capitalism. Let us journey through history and hear the story of the past century through the man who lived it.
