Synopsis
Patients arrive at a newly opened weight-loss sanatorium, each with their own reasons for wanting to slim down. Under the strict supervision of the ascetic head doctor, they undergo various bizarre treatments and exercises, all while abstaining from food, alcohol, and sex. For most, this makes their stay a nightmare. The characters in "Jedlíci" are romantic and foolish, funny and touching, each possessing a unique sense of humor. Driven by their love for people, things, work, and, of course, food, they ultimately find what they are seeking. As is typical in good films, love prevails in the end.
