Featuring notable historical figures such as the Queen of Sheba, Alexander the Great, King Nebuchadnezzar, Genghis Khan, Caesar, Pliny the Elder, Theophrastus, and others, the series delves into the strategies of the frankincense trade over millennia. The final episode provides a contemporary perspective on frankincense through the lenses of pharmacy, botany, medicine, aromatherapy, and perfumery.
