Synopsis
The main characters of the series are seemingly very different detectives - Ema (Pavla Beretová) and Honza (Stanislav Majer). She is straightforward, rational, and competitive, while he is explosive, moody, and takes everything personally. Ema decides to participate in the selection process for the head of the homicide department, and to the surprise of her future colleagues, she wins the competition. The only serious candidate, Honza, is under investigation for shooting a suspect. The challenging role of being a mother and working in the homicide department gives Ema a difficult start. Honza is one of those who view the new boss with skepticism from the start. It doesn't bother him that someone else got the job, but rather that it's someone he feels isn't suited for it. As they work on various cases, they become a duo that professionally complements each other and gradually find in themselves perhaps more than just collegial affection... The individual episodes are inspired by cases that the police investigated in the Ostrava region over the past few years.
