Starring Paweł Wilczak in the lead role in grand style. He is joined by such stars as Sebastian Stankiewicz (Best Supporting Actor Award at the 44th Polish Film Festival in Gdynia), Katarzyna Warnke, Jerzy Bończak, Wiktor Zborowski, Jan Nowicki, as well as acting surprises from Jacek Fedorowicz, Kazimierz Kutz and Leszek Balcerowicz.
Rising from the ruins, Warsaw in 1953 is a place where anything is possible. Uncertainty, denunciations and control are tamed with vodka and good company, jazz can be heard in the basement of the church, and an accidental meeting with the First Secretary Bolesław Bierut may end in unexpected drunkenness. These are the realities of life for Mr T., a writer who is having an affair with a beautiful schoolgirl, while a provincial boy moves in next door, dreaming of a career as a journalist.
Here begins a completely unbelievable story, which no one would believe, were it not for the fact that the protagonist saw everything with his own eyes. In this reality full of absurdities, it will be difficult to remain serious.
