Description

Coffee Marlenka Cafe is 100% Arabica and it’s made only from the finest coffee beans which are grown in ideal climatic and geographic conditions in Brazil and Guatemala. Thanks to the weather, altitude, soil type and soil richness Arabica beans contain more of the substances that make coffee so complexly flavourful. Gourmet coffees are almost exclusively high-quality mild varieties of coffea Arabica.

The Difference between Arabica and Robusta Coffee Beans
There are two main species of coffee cultivated today. Coffea arabica, known as Arabica coffee, accounts for 75-80 percent of the world's production and Coffea canephora, known as Robusta coffee which accounts for about 20 percent.

Arabica contains less caffeine than any other commercially cultivated species of coffee and Arabica beans produce a superior taste in the cup, being more flavourful and complex than their Robusta counterparts. Robusta beans tend to produce an inferior tasting beverage which is more bitter and with a higher caffeine content.

Coffea arabica takes about seven years to mature fully. The plant can tolerate low temperatures, but not frost, and it does best when the temperature hovers around 20 °C. The plants are vulnerable to damage in poor conditions and are also more vulnerable to pests than the Robusta plant. Robusta coffee is grown at much lower altitudes (sea level-3000 feet) and it is much more tolerant to warm conditions than Arabica coffee.
