Synopsis
The film Magnesia is set on the border between Polish and Soviet territories during the interwar period. Here, historical authenticity serves more as a decorative element, as director Maciej Bochniak constructs his unique world. Unlike his directorial debut Disco Polo, which can be seen as a musical fairy tale about the transformation period, Magnesia presents a human microcosm with a backdrop reminiscent of the Wild West.
