Synopsis
Taxi, prosím... is a collection of stories centered around a taxi driver and his encounters with various passengers in Prague. The first tale involves a young girl who wants to impress her boyfriend with a fancy car, only to be surprised by his modest vehicle. Another story features two lovers whose argument in the taxi ends with reconciliation, thanks to the driver's intervention. A third narrative follows a distraught computer engineer, struggling with a malfunctioning machine, who receives simple yet effective advice from the taxi driver, leading to a dream solution. The final customer is Mr. Kalina, dressed as St. Nicholas, attempting to deliver gifts to his daughter, only to find she has moved away with his ex-wife.
Additional stories in the film include "Dálky", where Mr. Kalina, an airport employee, cares for an orphaned girl from Africa for a night, and "Zaza", about a flirtatious hat shop girl torn between a shy fashion cutter and an older suitor, ultimately finding love after an accident at a fashion show.
