Historical like fairy tale

I'm not sure if this is based loosely on some part of history, interweaving a fiction about identical looking young men into it (not quite like the Prince and the Pauper, more its own thing), or whether it is fully fiction, but there's a grounded realism about this fairy tale that makes it like a historical romance, yet the wonderfully rounded happy endings and the lack of stress in the goings-on allow it to be classed as a fairy tale also.

There's two couples, so twice the romance. 2 similar-looking, good & kind young men with different characters that are both able to bridge 2 worlds, and want it all: both families, both jobs, both the private and the public life. In the end they get it all too. Lovely film, beautiful fairytale-esque natural backdrops, great storytelling, great characters.

CSFD database lists this as a Slovakian film, but I recognised at least one actress I'd seen in a Czech fairy tale before, so I'm not sure if it's one of the many co-produced fairy-talse between the sister countries. Very engrossing, longer fairy tale. Recommended again!

Synopsis
Matej morning wrongly accused of theft and be locked up. Thomas must remain at the castle and, while trying to convince the king that it is said the Prince, no one believed him. Both boys must face up to the world, who still did not know, to come and learn to take responsibility for their decisions. Will reward them, they both find true love.
