Description
Build the Messerschmitt Me 262, the first fighter ever in combat! Made in Germany, it entered service in 1944 as an interceptor. Bomb and reconnaissance versions were also created. German pilots called it Sturmvogel and it was known among the Allies as Turbo. The late commissioning of the aircraft meant that it did not play a significant role during the war. The Messerschmitts Me 262 achieved 900 kills with losses of 100 aircraft. This aircraft is inspired by a model that is on display at the Deutsches Museum in Munich. It was directed by Hans Guido Mutke, who in the last days of the war reached Switzerland, where he was interned. A few years later, the machine returned to Germany as a museum exhibit. The package contains 390 bricks of the kit and 1 pilot figure.
