Synopsis
With the detectives Captain Tůma and Lieutenant Líbal (portrayed by the unusual but perfectly fitting duo K. Höger – J. Bek), we first met in the film "105% Alibi," where they brilliantly solved a murder case. The success inspired screenwriter Karel Cop and director Vladimír Čech to two more films, all connected by the word "alibi" – "Where Alibi Is Not Enough" and "Alibi on the Water." In the story titled "Where Alibi Is Not Enough," investigators Tůma and Líbal follow the trail of an unknown killer. It leads to a gang selling allegedly "Swiss" medicine Cordofilin to people with heart conditions, causing the deaths of several patients. The investigation, along with the trail of the missing Josef Šesták (B. Šmída), one of the intermediaries in the sales, leads them to a luxurious international hotel in Karlovy Vary and the warehouses of Medika, where a large quantity of B-complex was stolen. The circle of suspects keeps expanding. One of them is the murderer. However, everyone seems to have an alibi...
