Description
Johnny's Journey / Honzikova cesta DVD
Synopsis
In this heartwarming tale, five-year-old Honzík Tichý receives an invitation from his grandfather to visit the countryside, a place he fondly remembers from the previous year. Unable to be accompanied by his busy parents, he convinces his mother to let him travel alone by train. The journey goes smoothly, and his grandfather, with a horse-drawn cart, awaits him at Koníkov station. Honzík quickly befriends the local children, especially little schoolgirl Terezka, but faces trouble with the mischievous Ferda. After a fight over a stolen glass marble, older boy Viktor intervenes, forcing Ferda to return it. Honzík visits the local school, bringing along a cat that soon escapes. Ferda offers to help find the cat but mischievously leads Honzík into the forest and abandons him. Eventually, the children find Honzík asleep in the grass. His mother arrives to take him home, and during the farewell, Ferda comes to apologize, gifting Honzík a knife. In a gesture of friendship, Honzík gives Ferda his cherished glass marble.
