How the World Is Losing Poets / Jak svet prichazi o basniky Remastered DVD
Synopsis
Inseparable friends Štěpán and Kendy are high school seniors in a provincial town. After a mishap involving a somewhat scandalous song in the principal's office, the school headmistress suggests they stage a theatrical production. They opt for Tylo's "The Forest Maiden" in an unconventional rendition, complete with music, songs, and a plethora of unusual props. While Kendy sees the theater as an opportunity for fun, Štěpán views it as a chance to win the affection of the charming Marcela Borůvková, nicknamed Borůvka, who is also pursued by the polished clerk Nádeníček. What starts as a student prank soon spirals out of control for both authors, not only due to the unconventional casting but also because of media coverage orchestrated by the father of one of their classmates. The enterprise gains momentum, attracting even television interest in filming the show. At that moment, disaster seems inevitable for Štěpán and Kendy.
