Synopsis
We present a film about friendship and love in a time when allowing oneself to be emotional can prove tragic in its consequences. There are only two people in Hero's life - his closest friend and the woman he loves - and the world of his business is ruled by violence. The film's plot begins in the 1970s - even then, the young Hero knows that adrenaline tastes better than powdered milk. Over time, he also discovers a desire for money, power and being above the law. The transformation begins and his gangster talent flourishes. Together with a friend, he builds his own army. The story of Bohater, based on facts, shows for the first time the true face of Polish mafiosi: they started in creche sweatpants and created a criminal organisation that for a while reigned over the whole country. The finale of this story, however, was not written with bullets and blood - sometimes a word wounds harder than a bullet, and love and friendship can be a cure, even in the cruellest hands
