Synopsis
During their second journey, explorers Hanzelka and Zikmund dedicated a significant portion of their time to exploring Ceylon (now Sri Lanka) and Indonesia, spending over a year and a half in these regions. Their expedition, which included two Tatra 805 vehicles and a four-member crew - engineers Hanzelka and Zikmund, driver Miroslav Dryák, and doctor Josef Korynta - arrived in Colombo, Ceylon, on June 10, 1961, and left Indonesia on February 16, 1963. During this period, they traversed the entirety of Ceylon, as well as the islands of Sumatra, Java, and Bali. They produced 37 short films, took over ten thousand photographs, and wrote dozens of radio and newspaper reports about their experiences, observations, and the people they encountered. Their adventures were far from ordinary – they ranged from visiting the Prime Minister of Ceylon and participating in various religious ceremonies to meeting cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin and filming headhunters on the island of Nias.
