Synopsis
Great black-and-white clips by Mr. Roháč, Mr. Svitáček, and others are complemented by visual and auditory memories of the beloved singer's Paris and a half-hour of singing and storytelling from the time shortly after the occupation of Czechoslovakia in 1968. The colorful set of recordings presents Hegerová's work from the 1970s and 1980s, featuring numerous essential songs, primarily with lyrics by Pavel Kopty and Michal Horáček. The thirty songs are supplemented by a fifteen-minute documentary by Fero Fenic, providing a carefully curated glimpse into the singer's life, with her expert interpretation of music and lyrics, enriched by her experience as an actress. Both the visual and auditory recordings from the archive received maximum care in the ADK-Prague studio. The booklet is adorned with photographs and a profile written by Jiří Černý, a seasoned journalist whose friendly admiration summarizes the life and artistic destiny of Hana Hegerová, a unique singer and charismatic lady, from her August decision to disappear from concert stages in the future.
