Synopsis
Once, an herbalist brought a special fish to the old king, claiming that whoever ate it would understand the language of animals. Despite strict orders not to, the young king's servant Jiřík tasted a piece of the fish. As punishment, the king sent Jiřík into the world to bring back a bride, the beautiful Zlatovláska (Golden Hair). This classic fairy tale, based on K. J. Erben's story, is beloved in the Czech Republic, Moravia, and Silesia, cherished ever since it first appeared on screens. The songs for the film were composed by Angelo Michajlov and Eduard Krečmar. Zlatovláska was portrayed by Jorga Kotrbová (with singing by Jitka Molavcová), and Petr Štěpánek played Jiřík.
