Synopsis
In a small principality, characters essential to a proper fairy tale coexist. There's an aging prince tired of ruling, his two daughters: the malicious, arrogant Angelina and the modest, beautiful Adélka; a cunning steward focusing only on filling his pockets at the expense of the royal treasury; and honest Petr, whose wicked stepmother Dorota Máchalová, in cahoots with the steward, plots to deprive him of his family mill. Hell watches over all misdeeds, ready to intervene at the right moment. When the time comes, young demon Janek is sent to bring the evil Dorota to hell but mistakenly takes Petr's kind grandmother instead. Attempting to correct his error, Janek ends up with Petr in the prince's army. Petr, fleeing the steward's schemes and would have escaped, but stops to heroically save the princesses from a runaway carriage. Petr and Janek become friends, and Petr agrees to help Janek complete his mission. However, capturing Dorota is challenging, as she always has a feather at hand, a bane for the demon.
