Florenc 13,30 DVD
At Prague's Florenc station, passengers board a bus bound for Karlovy Vary. Among them is Barborka, nicknamed Pusinka, a dispatcher and the girlfriend of the kind-hearted driver Honza Chalupa. Naturally, the female passengers are jealous of the charming young woman, while some of the men immediately begin to court her. However, along the way, the driver stops for another beautiful girl, leaving Barbora feeling like she's been sidelined. The journey to Karlovy Vary is long, and during it, many minor misunderstandings arise. Not only between Honza and Barborka but also among the other passengers... In this humorously crafted story, which revolves around conflicts among passengers on a fast bus, director Josef Mach manages to portray various aspects of human nature with gentle humor. From simple material, the author extracts the maximum, combining elements of humor, grotesque, musical lyricism, and fantasy. The result is a high-quality, entertaining, and tasteful piece of entertainment. Ludvík Podéšť's song "Šoférská," with lyrics by Josef Kainar and performed by Josef Bek, became a hit in its time.
