Synopsis
A tale about the importance of having your own "fisherman" and overcoming a fateful curse and easily misused magic... The kingdom of three ponds has fallen under a wicked curse. Mischievous beings have enchanted all the fish from the local ponds to punish the arrogant King Boleslav. However, this punishment has hit the subjects hardest. The disappearance of fish, their main domestic product, has deprived them of traditional means of livelihood and destroyed their trades. Their discontent grows louder by the day. Even within the royal family, tensions are rising. The king's daughter, Princess Lidunka, has a completely different idea of life from her stepmother. She wants to fulfill the traditional role that young women in this kingdom have always embraced, but she becomes one of the main characters in the events where several cunning tricksters vie for their place in the sun. The biggest trickster and thief, Nikdáš, who stole the magic wand from the mischievous beings, suddenly holds great power. Just in time, however, a young fisherman named Ludvík appears. Will he be the one to break the curse, save the kingdom, and win the hand of the princess?
