Synopsis
European Pairs is an animated series designed primarily for young viewers of Czech Television, set to air in the first half of 2009 during the Czech Republic's EU Council presidency. The series consists of twenty-eight playful three-minute films, each introducing a different European Union country, with the final episode focusing on the idea of a united Europe. Two children's voices, a girl (Dorotka Dědková) and a boy (Matouš Kratina), provide commentary with humor and a generous perspective as they guess and discuss each country. The series showcases diverse visual styles and techniques, featuring both emerging and renowned artists from the animation and art world. It was produced by the Children and Youth Creation Center of Czech Television in collaboration with 4 kids s.r.o. in 2008 and 2009, with the number of EU countries reflecting the 2008 state of the Union.
