Description
Every Penny Counts / Kazda koruna dobra DVD
Synopsis
Sazer Emil Tůma inherits a large villa on the outskirts of town from his uncle. Excited, he goes to inspect it, but what he finds is beyond surprising. The villa is occupied by a group of people engaged in various activities that Tůma doesn't understand. Moreover, they keep handing him envelopes full of money. Gradually, Tůma starts to orient himself and realizes that his uncle provided space in the villa for various swindlers who formed a company with the motto "Every penny counts." The villa hosts seances, a modernist "painter" creates pseudo-artworks, and there's even a decrepit piano used for profit. Worst of all, the villa is used for defrauding unfortunate people in need of housing who are willing to part with their hard-earned savings. Among this group are car thieves who sell stolen vehicles for parts. Tůma becomes furious and calls his wife for help. With her assistance and the help of a teacher from the nearby kindergarten, they attempt to deal with the swindlers. The police, summoned to the scene, eventually arrests the entire operation.
