Synopsis
In a small village under the Beskydy Mountains, a new district doctor named Martin Elinger arrives, transitioning from his previous role as a top-notch surgeon at a specialized facility in Prague. Now in a rural setting, he faces the unique challenges of practicing as a general practitioner, where close community interactions are the norm. Elinger, with his arrogant and ironic demeanor, excels professionally in handling complex medical cases but struggles significantly in everyday communication with the villagers. His approach, often like a bull in a china shop, does not resonate well with his new fellow citizens. This disconnect leads to complications in even the simplest of life situations, highlighting the cultural and interpersonal difficulties he faces in adapting from city to rural life.
