Synopsis
Sixteen-year-old Jirka Horáček (played by Rudolf Hrušínský nejml.) lives with his father (Ladislav Potměšil) in a housing estate in Plzeň. His father offers well-intentioned advice, but Jirka doesn't pay much heed to it. He spends his time with his friend Roman at discos, where he is smitten with Eva (Mariana Slováková). Eva, however, is involved with an older guy named Cáf. Despite this, Jirka does not give up and tries to win Eva over for himself. Jitka (Jaroslava Stránská) returns Jirka’s lost ID to his home, to whom he shows disinterest. However, fate intervenes, causing all of Jirka's efforts to win Eva to fail, which also leads him to lose a bet and he has to go to the barbershop. His father loses patience, and Jirka only returns home when his father is not there. Eventually, they accidentally meet at breakfast and reconcile.
